St. Gallen-Lake Constance region
Located before the imposing setting of the Alpstein massif with the Säntis, in the hilly pre-Alpine landscape, is the St.-Gallen-Lake Constance region.
A picture book region that is diverse like hardly any other. The city of St. Gallen, with its abbey, which has been elevated to World Heritage Site status, its idyllic lanes, cosy cafés and well-known museums, forms the heart of the region. At least just as worth seeing is the picturesque little port town of Rorschach in the southernmost bay of Lake Constance. It impresses with its magnificent granary and the historic “bathing hut”, which attract numerous tourists each year. And then there is the Rhine Valley with its beautiful cycle and hiking paths. Whether in the city, by the lake or in the countryside, everywhere in this region unique views are on offer – the best prospects, then, for an unforgettable holiday.
